Back to School Procedures

Welcome, new and returning students and families! We hope you had a safe, fun and productive summer break. We look forward to what will be an exciting year for you to learn and grow, and we are eager to get started. This year our school day begins at 8:00am and ends at 3:00pm.

We encourage you to take a look at the list of supplies you'll need to bring with you for your first day.

Your teacher will be outside on the first day of school to show you and your class where to line up. Unless otherwise instructed, students will be expected to line up in the same designated area each morning. Students remain in the building for breakfast and lunch. During recess, they are supervised by school personnel and are not permitted to leave the property. Once they arrive, students must remain on school grounds until the end of the school day. On inclement weather days, students will be allowed to enter the building at 7:30 a.m. and directed to the auditorium. Inclement weather is defined as days in which it is raining, heavy snowing or the temperature with wind chill falls below 25 degrees Fahrenheit. The principal or his/her designee will notify the office personnel for days in question. Please be sure to dress your child appropriately for the various weather conditions we experience.

Report cards are given every 10 weeks, in November, February, April and June. A parent/guardian is required to pick up your report card in November and April. Five-week Progress Reports are also sent home at the midpoint of each quarter. You can check your grades at any time during the year using Student Connection. Ask in the main office if you need you need help logging in. Our grading system is as follows: A=90%-100%; B=80%-89%; C=70%-79%; D=60%-69%; F=59% or below.
