Student Conduct*

Students are expected to:

  • Come prepared and on time to school every day.
  • Respect school property.
  • Show respect when following requests and directions of teachers and supervisors.
  • Have a PASS from the teacher if you are out of your regular classroom.
  • Move in a quiet and orderly manner.
  • Complete assigned homework every night.
  • Avoid damage and theft of other student's personal property.
  • Help keep our school clean and neat. Littering, writing on walls, desks, or lockers is unacceptable. Have pride in yourself and in your school.
  • Respect self and other students. Verbal threats and "put-downs,” sexual harassment, or physical assault of another person (or fighting), are unacceptable.
  • Use appropriate language.
  • Practice good citizenship.
  • Leave personal equipment at home, such as iPhones, ipods, games, toys, and valuables. The school will not be responsible for their loss and they will be confiscated.
  • Leave cell phones OFF while on school property.
    The Student Code of Conduct of CPS is the school's guide to student discipline. In the case of student misbehavior, Mr. Brandon, the assistant principal, will notify the parent of the discipline action to be taken.
